Crestrunner is a single-player racing game. It has no player accounts, publisher backend, cloud save, multiplayer, analytics, or crash-reporting service. Game progress and settings are stored on your device.
The Android app uses Google AdMob to show non-personalised advertisements and Google Play Billing for an optional one-time Premium purchase that removes advertisements. Those Google services can send data from your device to Google. The browser build has no advertisements and no purchase flow.

The app also keeps a rotated local backup of the game profile so a partial write does not
erase progress. These records use keys beginning crestrunner. and are not sent to Binary
Data Technology.
While the game runs, it reads device orientation when tilt steering is selected, gamepad state, window size, and basic graphics capability. Those readings are used on the device for controls, layout, and quality selection. The renderer name is not stored; only the selected quality tier is kept.
The Android app uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK and Google's User Messaging Platform. Crestrunner asks the consent framework for permission before it initializes advertising. If that process fails or ads may not be requested, the game continues without ads.
Every ad request made by Crestrunner is marked non-personalised. The consent request also uses Google's under-age-of-consent treatment because the app does not collect a verified age. When the consent framework makes privacy options available, they can be reopened from Settings > Advertising privacy choices.
Depending on device settings and region, Google may receive data such as the advertising ID, IP-derived coarse location, device and operating-system information, diagnostics, and ad views or interactions. Google controls its processing under its own policies:
Crestrunner may show a full-screen ad after a race result. It does not show one during a race, Training, a Championship, a retry, the first few races, to a Premium owner, without consent, more than once in three minutes, or above the local daily cap. Rewarded ads, when available, are optional and grant only the reward described on screen.
The Android app offers one non-consumable product, Premium, which permanently removes advertisements. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and gives no gameplay advantage.
Google Play processes the payment. Binary Data Technology does not receive card or billing details. The app receives the product identifier, purchase state, and transaction identifiers needed to grant or restore Premium and to detect a refund or revocation. The entitlement follows the purchasing Google account. Google's handling of the payment is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and Google Play terms.
The release declares internet and network-state access, Google Play Billing, advertising ID and Privacy Sandbox advertising permissions, vibration, wake-lock, and foreground-service permissions. Some are added by Google or Capacitor libraries. Crestrunner does not request access to the camera, microphone, precise location, contacts, calendar, or files outside its own app storage.
The Android app blocks cleartext HTTP traffic. It does not operate a publisher server and does not send game progress to Binary Data Technology.
Crestrunner is intended for people aged 13 and over and is not directed to children under 13. It has no account or verified-age system. As a conservative advertising protection, all advertising is non-personalised and the Google consent request is tagged for under-age-of-consent treatment. A parent or guardian can remove the app or clear its data at any time.
Local game data remains until it is reset in the app, cleared through Android settings, or removed by uninstalling the app. The data deletion page explains each option and what it does not remove.
Google retains advertising, consent, and purchase records under its own policies. Clearing Crestrunner's local progress does not cancel, refund, or delete a Google Play transaction.
You can reset game-owned progress and settings inside Crestrunner, clear the app's storage in Android, uninstall it, reopen advertising privacy choices when Google makes that control available, delete or reset the Android advertising ID, and contact the publisher using the address at the top of this policy.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a data-protection authority. Google provides its own controls for data it processes as an independent provider.
The effective date and policy version are updated when this policy changes. A material change to data practices will be reflected here before the corresponding app release.
